Please read the following information carefully before selecting your riding tour with us and making a booking.
Upon your first inquiry with us, we will send you a Riding Assessment Form to fill out and return to us. This will let us know your riding experience and level. We can then better assess whether a riding trip with us is appropriate for your riding holiday and which horses we will need to prepare for you. Our riding expeditions travel through some of the most spectacular country Mongolia has to offer visitors, but they are remote and sometimes challenging areas and you will want to have an appropriate level of riding experience or capability to enjoy them.
Advance booking fees can be paid with VISA, MasterCard or American Express credit cards. If you prefer a direct bank transfer, please contact us for our bank transfer details. Transfer costs will be borne by the payee. Final payment is to be made by credit card or bank transfer 30 days before each trip begins. To make final payment with cash or traveler’s cheque, please contact us.
We require a booking fee equal to 30% of the total trip cost. Final payment must be made 30 days before each trip begins. Our guest numbers are purposely kept low to ensure a quality experience. The trips sell out fast because of this.
Travel to and from Mongolia is covered by the guest. To ensure guaranteed travel bookings to and from Mongolia, book your air or train travel as early as possible with your travel agent. Let us know if we can help.
We will contact you as soon as we receive the booking fee and send you a receipt and a package of information to help you prepare for your horse riding trip in Mongolia. We begin making your arrival and trip preparations immediately upon confirmation.
Waiver of Liability and General Statement of Medical Health
A waiver of liability and general statement of medical health form will be sent to you along with your package of information. You must read and sign these before your trip with us begins. If you have health concerns that we should be aware of in order to make your trip comfortable and safe, you can detail these in your general statement of medical health. We do not share personal information with anyone and this will be destroyed after each trip. Contact us if you have concerns you want to discuss before arriving in Mongolia.
All guests traveling with Stone Horse Expeditions and Travel must have travel and evacuation insurance for the duration you are with us. We highly recommend that you purchase trip cancellation insurance. Personal circumstances as well as natural or man-made disasters are unpredictable and therefore Stone Horse Expeditions and Travel cannot be responsible for them. Ensure that your travel insurance covers these types of events.
Trip Cancellation Policy
If you cancel a trip 30 days or more prior to trip departure, an administrative fee of 50 percent of the booking fee will be deducted. If you cancel a trip less than 30 days prior to departure, the full booking fee will be deducted because expenditures for your trip will already have been made. This can be put towards a future trip with us if you decide to re-book within 12 months of the original booking.
Trip Termination Policy (while en route)
Should an individual terminate their participation in a Stone Horse riding expedition during the course of a ride for personal reasons (after the ride has begun), Stone Horse Expeditions will retain the full amount of the trip cost, as expenditures, time and effort will have been made. Should Stone Horse Expeditions terminate an ongoing expedition for purposes other than a medical emergency, natural disaster or phenomena, and or life threatening inclement weather, reimbursement will be made on a pro rata basis.
